Louise Hay showed me the padlock. I unlocked the door.

Earlier this year Louise Hay, self-help author, died at the age of 90. I picked up a copy of You Can Heal Your Life 20 years ago. I have a copy of the book on my shelf and its once white pages are now ageing yellow. It showed me the padlock of unlocking a happier life and that there was a possibility of a completely different life, a happier one, if I changed. It led to a number of happy and unhappy coincidences, encounters and situations that led me on a doggedly determined path to understand, improve and transform my life from the inside out.
In short, it gave me to the key to happiness which is Buddhism and Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. I have been practicing Buddhism with Soka Gakkai for the last 13 years. I have been on an adventure of changing my life and it illuminated the path for a happy transformation for myself and others.

Who knows where I would be if I didn’t take that initial leap of faith. I shudder to think.
